The May 5th primary will be here before we know it.
It’s important for voters to be aware of the schedule and deadlines.
April 6: Voter registration deadline
***If you have moved or changed your name you need to let the Jefferson County Board of Elections know by 9 pm this day***
April 7: Early in-person voting begins
Hours:
April 7 to 10: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
April 13 to 17: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
April 20 to 24: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
April 27: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
April 28: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
April 29 to May 1: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
May 2: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
May 3: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
**There is NO EARLY VOTING the day before the election. On Tuesday May 5th, you have to go to your polling place. Do NOT go to the Board of Elections to vote on Election Day.**

- Any Public Library
- Any Public High School or Vocational School
- Any Office of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles
- Office of the Jefferson County Board of Elections
- Office of the Jefferson County Treasurer
- Designated agencies that provide Public Assistance or Disability Programs

Request an Absentee Ballot
If you’re unable to vote in person, you can participate in the election by requesting an absentee ballot. This allows you to receive, complete, and return your ballot by mail or another approved method, ensuring your voice is heard no matter where you are. To request an absentee ballot, fill out the form below and drop it off or mail it to the Jefferson County Board of Elections.
